Cookies, Advertising, & Tracking
Cookies. When you use our Services, we and our third-party advertising partners use cookies, pixel tags, local storage, and other similar technologies (collectively, “cookies”) to collect information from your browser or device. Your use of the Services constitutes your consent to the use of these cookies.
What is a cookie?
A cookie is a small file which asks permission to be placed on your computer's hard drive. Once you agree, the file is added and the cookie helps analyze web traffic or lets you know when you visit a particular site. Cookies allow web applications to respond to you as an individual. The web application can tailor its operations to your needs, likes and dislikes by gathering and remembering information about your preferences.
The following types of cookies are used on our Services:
- Strictly Necessary Cookies – These cookies are necessary for the Services to function and cannot be switched off in our systems. They are usually only set in response to actions made by you which amount to a request for our Services, such as setting your privacy preferences, logging in, or filling in forms. You can set your browser to block or alert you about these cookies, but some parts of the Services will not then work.
- Performance Cookies – These cookies allow us to count visits and traffic sources so we can measure and improve the performance of our site. They help us to know which pages are the most and least popular and see how visitors move around the site. For example, use session replay technology to help us understand how users interact with our Website and to improve their experience.
- Functional Cookies – These cookies enable the website to provide enhanced functionality and personalization. They may be set by us or by Third Party providers whose services we have added to our pages. If you do not allow these cookies then some or all of these services may not function properly.
- Targeting Cookies – These cookies may be set through our site by our advertising partners. They may be used by those companies to build a profile of your interests and show you relevant advertisements on other sites.
For the exhaustive list of cookies we collect, see the List of Cookies We Collect section at the end of this Privacy Policy.
How we use cookies
There are different types of cookies, 1st party cookies facilitate the direct use of our website such as remembering what is in your shopping cart while your shop. A persistent 1st party cookie will also help you stay logged into your account and remember your preferences. 3rd party cookies are a way we can collect anonymous data with our partners to improve your experience on our website by learning about your preferred shopping experience. Many of those cookies are “session” cookies which only last as long as you are on our website.
We use traffic log cookies to identify which pages are being used. This helps us analyze data about web page traffic and improve our website in order to tailor it to customer needs. We only use this information for statistical analysis purposes and then the data is removed from the system. We also use cookies to help keep track of items you put into your shopping cart, including when you have abandoned your cart, and this information is used to determine when to send cart reminder messages via email or SMS.
Overall, cookies help us provide you with a better website, by enabling us to monitor which pages you find useful and which you do not. A cookie in no way gives us access to your computer or any information about you, other than the data you choose to share with us. You can choose to accept or decline cookies. Most web browsers automatically accept cookies, but you can usually modify your browser setting to decline cookies if you prefer. This may prevent you from taking full advantage of the website.
Links to other websites
Our website may contain links to other websites of interest. However, once you have used these links to leave our site, you should note that we do not have any control over that other website or the cookies contained on that site. Therefore, we cannot be responsible for the protection and privacy of any information which you provide whilst visiting such sites and such sites are not governed by this privacy statement. You should exercise caution and look at the privacy statement applicable to the website in question.

Your opt-out choice will be linked to your browser only; therefore, you will need to renew your opt-out choice if you visit our website from a new device or browser, or if you clear your browser’s cookies. If you choose to refuse, disable, or delete these technologies, some of the functionality of the Services may no longer be available to you. Deleting cookies may in some cases cancel the opt-out selection in your browser.
Clear GIFs: We and our third-party service providers may collect information from you using clear GIFs, such as pixels, tags and web beacons. These are tiny electronic images that may be used on our website or emails and help deliver cookies, visit counts, and understand usage and campaign effectiveness. We may also use clear GIFs to understand whether our emails are read or opened. We use learning from this information to improve our messages, reduce frequency of messages to you or determine interest in content we share.
Advertising partners. We may work with advertising partners that use cookies, pixel tags and other tracking technologies to serve advertisements on behalf of their retail clients (like Tata Harper), across the internet, including to you after you have visited our website. These advertising partners may engage in remarketing, online behavioral advertising and ad delivery and reporting. With respect to Tata Harper, these advertising partners may collect anonymous information about your browser as it makes visits to websites across the internet and your interaction with our advertising and email communications, which information may also be used to tailor advertising for you and others elsewhere on the internet.
Other Technologies. We may utilize new technologies as they are developed in a manner that is consistent with this Privacy Policy and industry standards.

Automated Decision-Making and Profiling
Automated decision-making implies making a decision using automated means without human involvement. Profiling is a form of automated processing of personal data consisting of the use of personal data to evaluate certain personal characteristics of an individual for the purpose of analyzing or predicting, for example, that individual’s personal preferences, interests, likely behavior, etc.
As you have read in this Privacy Policy, we collect a variety of types of personal data both from you and from other commercially available sources. This data may be combined and analyzed, including sometimes using algorithms, to identify links between certain behaviors and personal characteristics. This process allows us to customize our communications to your declared or inferred interests.
However, we do not conduct any automated decision-making processes, including profiling, that can produce legal effects or that can similarly significantly affect your rights and freedoms, as per Art. 22(1) and (4) of the GDPR and, should we want to engage in more intrusive profiling and tracking practices, we will always inform you and, where legally required, ask for your consent before doing so or provide you with the right to opt-out.
Other California Rights
California residents who provide certain personal information in connection with obtaining products or services for personal, family, or household use are entitled to request and obtain from us once a calendar year information about the customer information we disclosed, if any, with other businesses for their own direct marketing purposes. If applicable, this information would include the categories of customer information and the names and addresses of those businesses with which we disclosed customer information for the immediately prior calendar year.

Our Site may, from time to time, collect information about your online activities, over time and across different sites and applications. When you use our Site, Third Parties may also collect information about your online activities, over time and across different websites, online or cloud computing services, online applications, or mobile applications. Some browsers support a “Do Not Track” feature, which is intended to be a signal to websites that you do not wish to be tracked across different websites you visit. Because of differences in how web browsers incorporate and activate this feature, it is not always clear whether users intend for these signals to be transmitted, or whether they even are aware of them. Our Site currently does not change the way it operates based upon a “Do Not Track” or similar signal. You may, however, disable certain tracking as discussed in Your Choices section.
