Role Description:
The purpose of this position is to develop and implement quality management system strategies for maintaining compliance with established cosmetic Good Manufacturing Practice standards and agency guidelines.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and assist in the implementation of Quality Management System and other regulatory procedures to achieve compliance with FDA cGMP and ISO 22716:2007.
- Assist to coordinate and execute internal and external audits
- Maintain quality assurance programs, policies, processes, procedures, and controls ensuring that performance and quality of the products conform to established standards and agency guidelines.
- Provide leadership for quality systems improvements, and business process improvement initiatives.
- Responsible for ensuring compliance to the Quality Management System, GMP and any applicable company specific policies.
- Review of daily audit findings in all departments related to manufacturing
- Manage the planning, implementation and maintenance manufacturing activities to assure effectiveness of the Quality System.
- Responsible for recruiting, hiring and leading a team of QA Technicians.
- Initiate action to prevent the occurrence of any non-conformities relating to product, process, and quality system, and aid in determining corrective actions.
- Verify the implementation of solutions and/or corrective actions.
- Control further processing, delivery, or installation of non-conforming products until the condition has been corrected.
- Oversee environmental monitoring, pest control, premise maintenance are kept up to date.
- Act as customer support liaison for any quality-related customer concerns.
- Participate in weekly product integrity meetings and continuous improvement sessions
- Maintain product retains and records for raw materials, bulk, and production runs.
- Open communication with all areas of production
- Maintain and utilize data to manage the process and drive continuous improvement
- Continually review process deviations, non-conforming materials and goods, and help to advance the quality standards of the company and finished goods delivered to the highest potential.
Qualifications:
- 3-5 years of manufacturing quality experience is required.
- Excellent communication skills required, including active listening and effective speaking.
- Demonstrated skill in organizing work and setting priorities.
- Energetic multi-tasker that can thrive in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to interpret general technical procedures, forms, work instructions, material safety data sheets, and procedure manuals.
- Knowledge of quality systems, ISO22716, GMP, and OSHA
- Attention to detail and skills in organizing work and setting priorities.
- No sensitivities to fragrances/aromas
- Ability to meet physical requirements, standing walking, lifting, carrying, crouching.
- Basic mathematical and mechanical aptitude
- Proficiency in Microsoft office and Google docs required.
